About

Lisa, Michelle and Craig

Lisa, Michelle and Craig

“Women who live the life of their dreams don’t get there by being dainty and darling. They demand what they want and do what it takes to make it happen. That could mean breaking a few rules, a few hearts, and a few habits along the way, especially the habit of apologizing for who you are.”

Laurie Sue Brockway

Michelle has been living in Victoria, BC for the past year with her husband Dirk, cat Toulouse and foster dog, Cash. Michelle and Dirk have been together for 7.5  years,  getting married in Kelowna, BC in 2008. Michelle is a IT Consultant with Deloitte and is currently working with the government of BC to implement software to help bill and collect monies for BC Health care. Dirk is also in IT – which is nothing to do with his education – he is a civil engineer.

Born in Barrie, ON,  her father was in the Air Forces that had the family traveling from place to place. This also gives insight to why Michelle is so organized and clean. After her parents divorce, Michelle’s mom moved her, her sister Lisa and her brother Craig to Sherwood Park. All three siblings graduated from Salisbury Composite High before going onto various Universities/Colleges. Today, Michelle holds two degrees – her CMA and MBA.

Lisa became a medical laboratory technologist(whatever you do – never call her a ‘technician’ – it is a touchy subject), which lead her to her current position of designing and implementing software for labs on Vancouver Island. Lisa, her husband of 20 years Dwayne, and their two children Nicole 19 and Luc 15 also live on the island.

Craig teaches at University of Calgary and still has time for his art shows. Craig, his wife Bobbie and their 2 year old son Henri live in Calgary.

Michelle’s mom, Judy, is retired and moved to Victoria four years ago – all she really does is golf – got to like that life style. Michelle’s dad, Terry, is remarried and lives in Winnipeg. He tried to retire, but was bored in three months, so is working full-time with the city as a commissioner.
